The (beginning to the) answer to the question cited below is:  US
citizens voted in November of 2006.

To bring this back to a SEELANGS topic, I'm curious to know how if folks
write to the New Yorker editorship about articles such as Specter's
(objecting to them in the vein mentioned in recent posts) and, if so,
what sorts of responses--if any--have they engendered?
