There's also the documentary by Kara Lynch, "Black Russians," which,
although not exclusively about *Americans* of African descent in the
Soviet Union, does include, among other things, an interview with Jim
Patterson (who played Liubov Orlova's character's son in "Tsirk").
Patterson talks about his father's emigration from the US to the
Soviet Union.
