Sputnik Symposium

Dear SEELANGers:

In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the launching of Sputnik, Temple
University¹s College of Liberal Arts and College of Science and Technology
are pleased to host a symposium on the impact of Sputnik on American
culture, business and science, featuring, among others, Commander Scott
Carpenter of the US Space Program, and Dr. Dan Davidson of Bryn Mawr College
and the American Councils of International Education.

The symposium will be held on Friday, October 5, 2007 from 2:15 to 6 pm on
the main campus of Temple University in Philadelphia.  For more details, see
www.temple.edu/sputnik.  The event is free and open to the public.
