Panel on Slavonic Sociolinguistics

Dear all,

I am proposing a panel on Central and East European sociolinguistics for this
year’s LAGB (Linguistics Association of Great Britain) Annual Conference, which
will take place at the University of Essex (Colchester, UK), from 10 – 13
September 2008. 

Papers from all scholars are welcomed in any area of sociolinguistics relating
to Central and East European languages. Postgraduate students are particularly
encouraged to present their research and the conference is open to both members
of the LAGB and non-members. Abstracts should be submitted electronically (in
Word or RTF format) in English to j.a.wilson at sheffield.ac.uk by April 1 2008.

Sorry for the extremely short notice – the call for papers was announced on
February 15 and the deadline for the submission of abstracts is April 4!
