Thanks to all for bringing back "Bublichki":
It has emerged in numerous places, not the least of these
Shostakhovich's "The Nose" and "Second Cello Concerto."
It made a stop to the US via the Yiddish theater of Second Avenue,

Of course it was always very popular in various US
Russian cabarets from the 30's to the early 50's (the Russian
words).
It also became a jazz/swing song in English,
(O'Keefe and Stone) It was made
famous by the Barry Sisters, the same ones who recorded
"Bei Mir Bist Du Schon"
