This song was very popular at some point, amongst Khvost's (or Henri's) fans, myself included.
Hope this really helps. The history of the Manuscript found in Saragossa in Russia, is long. Pushkin wrote a short poem on it (a v storone torchit glago', i na glagole tom dva tela...). But the Hanri-Khvost rendering as pretty striking and strikingly modern as well.
