Question about Book out of print

Dear Colleagues:

For a course I¹m teaching in Fall 2009, I¹d like to use Vladimov¹s Faithful
Ruslan in English translation.  The book is out of print.  Does anyone have
any experience with a publisher providing copies of a novel for use in
courses (e.g., print by order)?  Any suggestions about how to go about this?
The publisher is Simon & Schuster.
