Concise history of Russia on DVD

I would recommend Parfenov's 300 years of Russian Empire.

It covers the history of Russian Empire/Romanov's reign. It combines a
diverse documentary footage and interesting, at times unorthodox comments by
Parfenov. It works in a culture, literature and language classrooms very
well.
