Tolstoy in America?

A colleague has asked me for help in finding information on the existence and activities of tolstoyans and tolstoyan groups in America at the turn of the 19-20 centuries.  I know they existed but am hoping that the Tolstoy specialists on the list will be able to help with specific sources in English since she doesn't read Russian.
