taking poll on pronunciation

On the other hand, if you're looking to translate poetry within a
definite rhyme scheme, what you rhyme it with has a strong influence
on how people will perceive the pronunciation of a proper noun. For
example, if you rhyme "Don Juan" with "true one" and "new one" you
will certainly tend to pronounce Juan as two syllables, probably a
very Anglicized "Zhu-an", as Byron intended.
