HS senior wants to go to Russia before starting at university

Greetings all!  Do you have any suggestions for a high school senior
who took two fairly intense years of Russian who wants to go to Russia
this summer or fall?  She isn't starting college until January so
she'd like to do something interesting but not prohibitively
expensive.  Her parents are supportive of her interest in going.  Any
formal or informal programs that she should consider?  Volunteer
opportunities for someone who has Novice High speaking abilities?
