Dear Robert,

You are right. It's the same is "kuda ugodno", "kuda emu okhota" = 
"khochrtsia". Po + dative as is "according to his wish". Compare: Ona 
bol'shaia okhotnitsa do varen'a. It's out dated of course but the 
connection with "prostorechie" Mne (ne) okhota is still very strong.
