Apparently the Flashman books are being translated into Russian

If they do the notes as well as the actual texts, it could provide excellent
teaching aids for making history fun.  A Russian review of the treatment of
the Afghanistan campaign would be very interesting in this context.

I'm already looking forward to how they handle "Flashman at the Charge",
which includes a sequence that recalls Pushkin's
