"Borderlines: Russian and East European - Jewish Studies," a series at Academic Studies Press (http://www.academicstudiespress.com/), explores the intersection of East European and Jewish Studies in history, philosophy, literature, the visual arts, and anthropology. “Borderlines” volumes challenge assumptions about the definitions of Jewish and Russian and East European studies, emphasize new theoretical approaches, and closely parse formal structures to get at new meanings or trace a single theme or trope across disciplines, languages, geographical regions, and time periods. “Borderlines” also includes studies that focus on a single author, period, institution, event, or aspect of daily life among Russian and East European Jews.
