Dear Colleagues,
A student working on Hebrew, Yiddish, and German literatures is starting a dissertation on how narratives juxtapose Jews and dogs (and sometimes other animals).  Sometimes Jews are identified with dogs, and sometimes they are seen as opposing forces.  Can you think of Russian texts that I should recommend to him?  Probably best to reply off list.
