The Society of Historians of East European and Russian Art and Architecture
(SHERA) is pleased to announce that it is extending its activities as a
professional association, and will soon launch a new Website.
All interested in becoming involved with SHERA are welcome to attend the
Meeting for Business at the ASEEES Annual Convention in New Orleans on
Friday 16 November from 3:45 to 5:30pm.

The meeting's highlight will be the launch of the new SHERA Website.
Participants will elect officers and discuss plans for the organization.

SHERA is an association of academics, librarians, museum workers,
independent scholars, students, and other individuals who share an interest
in the art and visual culture of Russia, the nations of the former Soviet
Union, and Central and Eastern Europe. The Society seeks to improve
research circumstances for scholars, connect members to necessary
resources, provide a forum for ongoing conversations on areas of mutual
interest, and foster contacts among members. SHERA runs a Web site and
electronic listserv, and organizes sessions at scholarly conferences such
as CAA and ASEEES.

If you are interested in getting involved but cannot attend the meeting,
please join SHERA's listserv at
