Translation rates

Rates are usually either by the word or by 1000 words.  The rate will
depend on the difficulty of the material, whether or not it is technical,
and may range from $150 to $275 (for very technical prose) per 1000 words.

Graduate students usually charge less. But for professionals charging too
little is tantamount to undercutting...
