Adjunct Lecturer/Visiting Assistant Professor, Russian, University of Arizona

The Department of Russian and Slavic Studies at the University of Arizona invites applications for an Adjunct Lecturer or Visiting Assistant Professor (non tenure-track) in Russian literature and culture for the Spring 2014 semester beginning on January 6, 2014.

Responsibilities include:
*Teaching two courses, for example, a large undergraduate Russian culture course as part of the department’s General Education offerings, and a co-convened undergraduate/graduate  20th century literature course taught in Russian and English with readings in Russian.
* Participating in service for the department as needed.

 Preferred qualifications: A PhD in Russian or related field will hold the position of Visiting Assistant Professor.
*Experience in teaching North American undergraduates and graduates and supervising teaching assistants.
* Evidence of excellence in college-level teaching.
* Evidence of teaching in large, general education classrooms.

Minimum qualifications: MA in Russian
