Among the Northern Iroquoian languages, Tuscarora, Seneca and Cayuga use a
question for greetings that translates roughly as "are you still well (at
peace)?".  The Catawb greet (ta~c^i) contains a question word, as well.
However, other Northern Iroquoian languages (Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga,
Wyandot) simply use a particle with no real translation other than "hi".
