Irregular "to eat" in Dakotan,Crow, Hidatsa, etc.

My guess is that the second person forms in Crow and Hidatsa
(dilu'shi/waru'ti) were 'regularized' along the lines of the du- 'by hand'
conjugation.   So we have an old inflectional pattern that is preserved only
in the first person.
