Root lists.

Back in the early '90's Wes Jones came up with a
computer program (ran in
DOS I'm sure) that stripped away locatives,
instrumentals, etc. from dictionary files and left
him/us with a long list of roots. It was very useful.
I'm sure there are more sophisticated ideas about how
to do this sort of thing among computer experts, but if
anyone is interested, they might contact Wes. He
worked his magic on the Buechel dictionary. The
results required a little massaging, but it worked.
