At a meeting this weekend in Oklahoma City I was told of the passing of Rhoda Compton, whose name we have gotten to know on this list from her fluency in the Otoe language. She had the reputation among her people for being the last person familiar with both the male and female speech forms of her language. Her funeral service was Saturday evening. Bob
