This one item can't be gotten through the UMI dissertation ordering
scheme, because the school it was done at didn't participate at that time.
It might have been done at Berkeley, though I seem to recollect not,
because Berkeley certainly didn't participate for a long time.  That is
why you also can't get Hollow's Mandan Dictionary (with its phonology and
morphological sketch) through UMI.

The Siouan Archives has a copy of Susman, however, and, if David is
willing, I'd be willing to xerox this for you.  I always meant to do so
for myself and never got around to it.  A possible problem is that I
recall the SA copy as being a very faint xerox of a not too spiffy
original.

Josie White Eagle's dictionary is, as far as I can tell, out of print and
unobtainable except as a xerox.  There may be used copies, though I've
never actually run across one.  Anyway, Henning, guard your copy closely!
I'm not sure how many there are in existance!
