The dictionary is not transferrable to Word even though many Wordperfect files can be transferred.  This is because of the diacritics over the letters that are installed by a special program in Wordperfect that allows overstrikes.  You have to have Wordperfect for Windows to read the file.  With WP is looks just fine.

No, Wordperfect documents have a .WPD extension, not .DOC.  Also, it shouldn't be a problem even so, provided you keep the Word and Wordperfect files in different subdirectories.  If you install Wordperfect, it should install a subdirectory called "My Files" or "Corel user files" that is distinct from the "My Documents" under Word.  Put the dict. and grammar files in the Corel files folder and Wordperfect will find them properly.  Don't let your consultant charge you for that information.  :-)
