Isn't wakte a rather specialized usage meaning 'triumph in war' as in wakte
gli 'he came home in triumph' or S^ahiyela iwakte glipi 'they came home in
triumph after a war with the Cheyenne' ie 'the beat the Cheyenne'.  I
suppose it still must be thought to have an animate patient though.
