Message-ID: Thanks for asking, Mark. I've been wondering too. I know we selected a string of "20s" as the deadline mileposts. August 20 for the revised papers to be submitted. Then I think January 20 for comments back to authors and May 20 for final revisions due??? Does this sound right? The goal was to have a volume pretty much complete by next Siouan Conference time. The Aug. 20 date is just a few days away, and I'm actually (astonishingly) close to having a revision ready. (By coincidence we have our opening faculty meetings the 21st, so it'll be great to have it off my desk just before fall semester hits the fan.) Who wants the revised version -- send to John? To Johannes? To both? Catherine >>> Mark J Awakuni-Swetland 08/15/09 1:29 PM >>> Aloha all, Just touching base to see how the comparative Siouan grammar volume is going? Message-ID: Gang, I'm afraid I had forgotten that we had a 20 Aug. deadline. I've been spending most of my time working on editing the Kaw texts for vowel length along with Justin, who has been doing all the real heavy lifting on encoding them. I did do a some minor revising on my enclitics paper to add bibliography and improve wording a little. BUT, I still have a LOT of additional reconstruction of enclitics to do. I could let readers look at the draft that exists presently with a view to garnering comments on things like general organization, but a lot of detail needs to be added viv-a-vis the subgroup and proto-Siouan reconstructions.
