Dear Colleagues,
 	Despite all my wishful thinking, I don't have anything for you to 
consider on serial verbs at the upcoming meeting.  I'm beginning to think 
I should stop trying to plan long-term projects, but I really do want to 
do this study, so I hope you can be patient with me.
