JOD doesn't gloss cognates at the bottom of the slips.

Did any suggested gloss or translation come with the word.  JOD did not

The cognate part seems to be a-gu-ki.  The -na would have to be something 
else.  A diminutive in Dakota, an article in Hocank.  Who knows?  If it were 
Hidatsa I wouldn't expect an /n/ in the middle of a word, but, again, who 
knows?

for what it's worth, I don't think that this is Hooca?k. I've never come 
across a word like this, and I've checked the database too.

Mark, maybe you could send me some more examples of what is marked "H." in 
the slip files? I might be able to help you more then.
