John:
I'm tailing in on Rory's message, only to confirm that I, grandson Sage, and a tribal contingent (unofficial), composed of one Ioway elder, another Ioway adult, and a group of three tribal youths, will be in attendance for the Saturday applied linguistics sessions.

Similar to Rory, I have nothing new, and for some tribal members, I don't know anything anyway, so I too, will not have a paper to present.
Jimm

PS: For my information, have you had a committed attendance from the nearby Wisconsin Winnebago (Hochank), i.e., Henning Garvin, et. al. I know Johannes will be attending and Irene from Deutschland.

  Hi John,

I'll be coming to the conference too, with Mark. Like Kathy and Randy, I will not be giving a paper this year.

  Thanks,
  Rory

  Hi, John,

I'll be coming to the conference--arriving Tuesday and leaving Sunday. I won't be giving a paper, but I'm looking forward to the meeting and seeing all of you. I have my hotel reservations, and as soon as I firm up my plane reservations (on Southwest to Midway) I'll let you know the times, because I'll be renting a car and could give someone a ride if needed.

Hi, John. Just wanted to let you know that I will only be able to come for part of the conference--Wed. and part of Friday. Due to other commitments I won't be giving a paper.

  Best wishes,

  Randy

  Hi Jill,

Excellent, I’m glad to know you are planning on coming. I was getting worried as I haven’t heard from as many people as I had hoped, but you know how we are. There is no good way to get to Chicago from outside. The key is to avoid rush hour traffic. Where are you coming from? Let me know and I’ll put together a route for you.

  All the best,

  John

I am planning to come, no reservations yet, no abstract yet (hey, I still have a couple of days, right?).
  It should be fun.

By the way, do you have an insider's guide to get there with the minimal amount of rural driver's fears of Chicago traffic? Pretty Please?...

  Best,
  Jill

P.S. I remember this time two years back, so please accept my thanks (and sympathies) for organizing it all this year!!!
