<DIV>(1) There's a nice article mostly about teaching and learning Ho-Chunk in the current issue of "On Wisconsin", the University of Wisconsin alumni magazine. Pictures of Henning Garvin and his father teaching Ho-Chunk at UW and references to Iren Hartmann and "another German researcher," as well as some discussion of work on Menominee and Ojibwe by UW faculty. Google "On Wisconsin Magazine" and click on the article "Weight of the Words" to have a look at it. </DIV>

<DIV>(2) Living Here magazine, a local magazine in "Southeast South Dakota and Northeast Nebraska," has a pretty good article on Omaha and Ponca in the Spring 2009 issue.
