<i>BL, GL</i> sequences. I might mention that the same kinds of argument apply in the case of
<i>PT, PC, PK</i> (where permitted), <i>PS</i>, etc. The <i>P</i> is also a reflex of *<i>wV-</i> and acts as a "syllable" for accent placement.<br>
