I am happy to announce that I have just posted a listing of Facial
Expressions on our web site:

Forehead, Eyebrows, Eyes
http://www.SignWriting.org/face000.html

Eyegaze
http://www.SignWriting.org/face001.html

Nose, Cheeks, Mouth, Teeth
http://www.SignWriting.org/face002.html

Tongue
http://www.SignWriting.org/face003.html

Chin, Ears & Other Miscellaneous Faces
http://www.SignWriting.org/face004.html

These are approximately 90% of the symbols used to write facial expressions
in SignWriting.

Of course, applying these facial expressions, when writing grammar, is a
skill in its own right. The symbols are combined in different ways to
create the units needed to record grammar.

The purpose of this posting is to give a reference listing of the symbols
themselves.

The other 10% will be added later. They include detailed mouth and tongue
movements used to record the movements of speech (like the sound "pah" that
occurs in ASL), and detailed eyegaze, such as making circles with the eyes.

Hope this reference list is useful!!

Valerie :-)
