help for student

[Susan Fischer]

a student of mine is looking for published or unpublished literature on
the phenomenon, which we know anecdotally, of the ability of deaf people

to tell whether someone they are looking at is deaf or hearing, no
matter how well the hearing person signs (or how poorly the deaf person
does?).  Does anyone have a clue as to where to look?:  Thanks.
