This raises the question, then: Does SignWriting have a specific
established ordering of the symbols by which, were one to consult a
SignWriting dictionary, could know that handshape <A> is followed by
handshape <B> and within each sign, orientation <a> is not found before
orientation <b>, and so on and so forth, so that one could conceivably
"alphabetize" all the signs in the lexicon?
