The map is not entirely accurate. If you read the existing literature on sign language families (for example, some of the discussion about sign languages in different parts of the world in the Cambridge University Press volume edited by Diane Brentari, 2010), it is clear that there are some misunderstandings of the current state of knowledge (which in itself is patchy) in the map, such as the suggestion that BSL and Swedish Sign Language are related (not accurate, as far as I am aware).
