<DIV><FONT face="Courier New" size=2>A caution: Don't assume that the codes in
ISO 639-3 correspond to the customary abbreviations that people use for sign
languages. For example, the ISO 639-3 code for ASL is ase. The ISO
639-3 codes are simply arbitrary codes used to uniquely identify a language;
sometimes they are chosen to provide some mnemonic significance, but sometimes
this is not possible. So, the best abbreviation for Indonesian Sign
Language to use outside of the context of ISO 639-3 is probably what Shane
suggested: BII.</FONT></DIV>
