<DIV>Inviting expressions of interest</DIV>

<DIV>The iSLanDS Centre is inviting expressions of interest from colleagues of post-doctoral status to spend two years at the Centre as a Postdoctoral Fellow. We will submit a joint application with one selected candidate for a Newton International Fellowship. Fellows can only apply together with a UK host and cannot apply on their own. </DIV>

<DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>The fellowship award is at the level of £24,000 per year over two years, plus up to £8,000 for research costs and some other benefits.</DIV>

<DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>We are looking for a candidate fulfilling the following criteria:</DIV>

<DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>- Completed PhD and up to 6 years post-doctoral experience.</DIV>

<DIV>- Based outside the UK and not holding UK citizenship.</DIV>

<DIV>- Evidence of academic merit in research, including publications.</DIV>

<DIV>- A research plan over two years that is compatible with the research portfolio at the iSLanDS Centre (refer to <A href="http://www.uclan.ac.uk/islands">www.uclan.ac.uk/islands</A>)</DIV>

<DIV>- IN LINE WITH THE PROFILE OF THE ISLANDS CENTRE, WE ESPECIALLY ENCOURAGE DEAF APPLICANTS AND APPLICANTS FROM DEVELOPING COUNTRIES.</DIV>
