</head><body><p>Dear all,</p><p>I guess most of use have used or are using some form of questionnaires to obtain background information of study participants in research projects (for example, acquisition studies). The level of detail can be motivated by our research questions. But it is a totally different thing when we are attempting to develop a background questionnaire to be used in sign language testing by practitioners. We as researchers are interested to obtain as much/or enough information to answer our research questions, practitioners in schools won't be able, for example, to fill out a 30-item questionnaire, which is useful for research, but not feasible in the school context. <br>Does anyone has developed the "perfect" questionnaire that tried to combine both interests?
