<p>We hope this message finds you well. The fifth anniversary of the WOCAL workshop on African sign languages, organized by the HANDS!Lab at Leiden University is coming closer! From June 7-12, we will have a daily online panel with almost 30 talks in total,
on a variety of topics related to African SLs, such as lexical variation, narratives, songs, and sign language technology. Participation is free for participants in the global south.

Diop). </p>
<p>The workshop will close with the HANDS!Festival presenting deaf artists and their work from Senegal, Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire, Ethiopia, and South Africa. Also, it will feature the winning contributions of the visual vernacular story telling competition:
