Dear SSILA Member:

The SSILA Annual Meeting will be held January 2 through 5, 2014, at
the Hilton Minneapolis.
Hotel Reservations: The hotel room rate for conference
attendees is $99/night for a single or double room. Please use the
link or phone numbers provided at the LSA site (and mention the LSA
meeting if you’re reserving by phone) in order to get this
discounted room rate.

Meeting Registration: Meeting registration can go one of two
ways.
If you are an LSA member, log in to the LSA website and
register as a member. Logging in before registering will
automatically give you the member registration rate.
If you are not an LSA member, click on the large red
“Register for meeting” button at the top of the page. You will be
asked to identify yourself as a student registrant or a regular
(i.e., non-student) registrant, and will initially be charged the
nonmember rate. At checkout, use one of the coupon codes shown
here:

SSREGULAR (for regular registrants), or

SSSTUDENT (for student registrants).

These codes will bring your registration fees down to the LSA member
level.

News: A preliminary meeting program will be available in
October.
University of Nevada, Reno, is hiring a linguistic anthropologist.
The job ad is attached.
A compilation of Ute Texts by T. Givón has recently been
published by John Benjamins. An announcement is attached.
Best,
