<pre>Dear Friends of Indigenous Languages:
The 24th Stabilizing Indigenous Languages Symposium (SILS) was held on May 26-28, 2017 at the Indian Community School in Franklin, Wisconsin. The SILS Steering Committee is now looking for a host for the 2018 symposium. The SILS Steering Committee is composed of chairs and former co-chairs of the symposium. Each symposium has been hosted by an independent organizing committee that needs to plan the conference and secure the needed funds. While there has been some foundation funding, a major source of funds for the conference has been obtained locally and from registration fees. The Steering Committee is looking for a host that has some experience with hosting conferences and with Indigenous language revitalization efforts.
