SignSpelling Guidelines: Depth Markers
As Bill said, these markers are a little like special pronunciation symbols that are used in dictionaries to help people pronounce a word...but those symbols are not actually written in the words themselves...Well, these Depth Markers can guide the computer to sort the signs properly, and it can clarify for the reader of the dictionary, what was meant in the writing. This could perhaps teach people SignWriting?...But the Depth Markers are not written in the actual SignWriting:
