Hi Antony, Valerie and Listmembers-

this is fun - isn`t it ?

Ha - so we already learned that SW - graphics are helpful to understand what
has to be added to our descriptions in words-

SW is so much better to describe all the parameters of a given sign within
one sign ;-)))

1) Do not worry about DOS - the logic of the SW4.4 program is amazing -
once you have learned and understood the principles that are hidden behind
the keys .

2) There is no way but to study the manual carefully. I have already studied
it several (!!) times and each time there is a new hint, a new solution to
another problem. ;-))

3) So you feel that you should describe your sign in mind "How are you" in
more detail - congrats - you understood the handsymbol for an open five-
fingers- hand perfectly.

I wrote the startposition - fingers pointing to the chest - thumb upside --

You would prefer the angle-hand -

This is an interesting question - As far as I understand - in SW we do not
distinguish between the anglehand with fingers together or fingers spread -

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

  Hi Valerie ---------------

(What do you think Valerie should we add an aditional sign - angle-hand
with the four fingers spread like in 01 05 001 01 01 01 BS )

Sometimes I look for this symbol myself - almost like 01 05 006 01 01 03
but thumb aside (!!)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

I had to smile at your interpretation of my spelling - attached you find the
spelling that goes along with your description - ha -

( ,,,hm and I believe that there are SL in the world that this middle finger
up is not interpreted in this "rude" sense ... ;-)) -
Mark Penner might be able to inform us ?? )

to be continued

Stefan :-))

        Hi Stefan,

Thanks for your offer to become my teacher!! normally I can figure
out programs pretty quickly by just trial-and-error, but this DOS (Grrrr)
program isn't as easy and 'common sense' as others....

Grrr I typed a beautiful e-mail and the program crashed.... try
again...

I think that I didn't explain it clearly....

In the 'start sign' the fingers are pointed to the chest and the
thumb up. This makes the hand bend at the knuckles at about 90 degrees.....

Then the hand moves forward (away from the chest) an becomes the
'good' sign, which is a fist with the thumb up...

your sign looks like a start sign of a open hand (like a handshake)
and moves from right bottom of the chest to left top of the chest and
becomes a 'rude' handshape (middle finger up!)

        sorry about that

I think we try this from a side-on view, but then the facial
expression isn't clear....
