XP does, but the updates are restricted to their systems software.
Remember the legal fisticuffs between Sun and Microsoft when it came to
Java? Bill Gates is not a huge fan of virtual machines that encourage
cross-platform software. So in Windows land, I believe that updating
the JRE is a user's responsibility.
