[sw-l] new name for SignWriting in the french speaking part of Switzerland

Dear Val and list members

just a few words to tell you that we had a discussion this morning with
the group of deaf teachers and sign language interpreters (we're
working together on SignWriting)... in order to find a new name for
SignWriting.
Peolple just felt unconfortable with the english word... so we made
several proposals.... to find a word that sound french but that cannot
get people confused about the different possible notation systems... we
wanted somthing similar to the english word... and found several
names...

In the french speaking part of Switzerland... SignWriting will be
called "SignEcriture" from now on!
