Nigel -
So you have SGN Files, but you have not downloaded the free version of
SignWriter on the web? Did you know you can download it for free? Go
to:

SignWriter Download
http://www.SignWriting.org/downloads

Once you have downloaded, and started SignWriter, then you can open any
SGN file...

SignWriter DOS is the best to download, but it is only for Windows 95,
98, 98se and ME...unless you have a DOS emulation program like
VirtualPC or others...for example I use SignWriter DOS daily with
VirtualPC on the Mac...and some people use it on Windows XP with
DOSBox.

The current download for SignWriter Java can be used on any Windows
platform 98 or later...it has some bugs but it will open the SGN files
for you at least...then you could do screen captures to create your
graphics files...
