Welcome to the SW List, Manfred...or should I say, welcome back to the 
List! At the end of June, our List will be moved to another college's 
computer, so we are going through a little transition right now, but it 
will soon be stable again. Sorry for any inconvenience it caused...For 
some reason, the LinguistList web site that houses our Archives, cannot 
be the way a person joins the List right now...and I don't want to ask 
them to correct the problem until our move has been made...so I am 
going to have to give new instructions on our web site as to how to get 
on the List...namely write to me for the moment...

If you get this message, then you know you are on the List!
