[sw-l] Sign Puddle should be Unicode based please

I would completely agree.  I have all sorts of diacriticals for Portuguese signs, like Corac�o, carra�o, s�mente and the like.  I can force them in by cutting and pasting, but it would be much more helpful if I could simply type them with the standard "control+~a" for example.
