ANSWER
Full-Body Circles, with one leg lifted, are written
with these symbols, used mostly in DanceWriting
for pirouettes (many turns on one leg). The stem
line is the center of the body and the curve part
of the symbol is always on the side of the lifted leg.

I am finishing up the updating of the eLessons and will post this  
answer there shortly...
