Hello Barbara!
The above is very interesting...You discussed writing dialogue  
between two or more people? Like a script, or in a novel, when people  
are talking to each other...smile...writing the sign-name before each  
line is a good idea! You might add the Punctuation Symbols that are  
equivalent to a colon....

For example see attached:

Val: Hello, happy meet you.
